Internship Opportunities at Seven Hills

Seven Hills offers a variety of internship placements that provide young people with opportunities to gain important practical experience to complement their education and prepare for future employment within the field of Human Services—and possibly with Seven Hills. Internships can be assigned in a variety of ways, such as fulfilling college credit, as part of a high school curriculum, or as an independent study.

Seven Hills also participates in the Department of Developmental Services' Urban Youth Collaborative Program, hiring summer interns to assist with the care of individuals with developmental disabilities at our program sites. For over 22 years, more than 300 high school and college age youth have contributed to the lives of many people in our care through the success of the Urban Youth Collaborative program.

Individual requests for internship opportunities or to participate in the Urban Youth Collaborative Program are considered on a case-by-case basis and are coordinated through the office of Human Resources. Applications must be completed prior to any consideration for placement.

"As Commissioner of DDS, I am very proud of the Urban Youth Collaborative Program and its impact on both the student interns who participate in it and the individuals we support and serve.  We at DDS hope that the dedication of these young adults will carry on throughout their careers, and they will consider working with people with intellectual disabilities.” —DDS Commissioner Elin Howe
